Bryan Rason

Bryan Rason has just released his debut album, much to the excitement of his already sizeable army of fans. With the album expected to be a success and the exciting, the newfangled sound that he has made his own is certain to gain considerable interest.

The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that Bryan was always surrounded by different forms of music. His mother always had the radio on and his dad and grandfather were professional country musicians.  His first interest into learning an instrument himself came when he started to play the guitar at age 7.  Later he began to play bass and piano. 

After deciding that making music was his main goal, he began to showcase his talent in various venues across Ontario , playing at numerous gigs and making sure that his name and music were being heard by as many people as possible. He was quickly noted for the unique style that he brought to the new age “Finger Style” scene. and became a popular internet hit in the Finger Style music scene.  

Although traditional Country music is where Bryan’s roots lie, that is not to say that he finds himself restricted to this genre. In fact his influences are vast, which his CD collection demonstrates, providing literally a room full of music from every corner of the globe.  He is keen to point out that everything he listens to directs his musical development in some way. However, he would certainly include Antoine Dufour, Tommy Emmanuel, Andy Mckee as amongst his biggest influences.

The songs on his debut CD provide a combination of haunting to dream-like melodies.   This is a complete reflection of Bryan’s heart, soul and musical journey as he personally did all of the recording, editing, mixing and artwork for this project.

Bryan’s touring schedule is increasing, and he is finding himself more in demand than ever in venues across Canada .
